"Printing - Status is Unavilable" error message

hi people,
I have HP laserjet model 5S1. it was working this morning and all the of the sudden it stopped all print jobs get the same error "Status in Unavailable". checked the following:
1- Printer is Ready
2- Can't Ping Printer
3- no paper jam
4- no one can print including Admin
5- Cable is fine
6- did a soft reset

still can't get it to work. I have a believe that something with the printer configuration; howver, reset didn't do anything. any ideas?

sorry, to be more accurate the error message is
"Printing Not Available"

I solved the problem. through the printer Control panel I manually added the IP address of the printer and it worked.
