"permissions" seem to change by themselves?

This is totally weird...

I have users that are all part of a group which has access to view, view on demand, etc etc.

For some users (not all) at some times (not always) when they go to view / view historical instances of the report, they "lose" the ability -- meaning - they only see "schedule" ...

How / why would this happen? It then fixes itself at some later time (or I assume, because I'm not doing anything to fix it and yet it does come back)

Any suggestions or ideas?

Perhaps their session is timing out and they're going in as a Guest?

Try applying the service packs, and if you need further help, post the version of CE and the type of security being used.

Also, check they are using IE version 5.5 and above.

I have had problems with things "disappearing", but it was purely down to some users still using IE5.

We are using Crystal Enterprise 8.5, and all service packs are applied.

We are using NT security.

How would I be able to see if their session timed out and/or if they were going in as "Guest"?

I can see that shes in under hew own account (this one particular user) but it doesnt give her the option to VIEW.

Is there something where maybe only one person can VIEW at a time? So if the report is "busy" by somebody else it cant be run right then by others????

Going check on IE version right now.

If it's waiting for a license it should notify you.

I you're using NT Security, then I doubt that it's a Guest account issue.

Are you using custom CSP, or straight ePortfolio, or?

Could even be a IIS version isue, if not IE.

-k

No, we are using straight ePortfolio.

Its driving me nuts - the reports working fine for me on my account, and no problems.

Others cant see VIEW / VIEW HISTORY and sometimes even if they do have VIEW and they hit it, it never brings up the report.

Our setups and preferences are exactly the same.

I'm going to clean out all the cookies on one machine and see if that helps.

Will start looking at ISS version and IE version...

Any other suggestions?
