"ON_SAM_Validate" Stopp messagebox

I have an combox that i validate for example if it´s empty with "ON_SAM_Validate".
If i have no value in the box it sends a SAL_Messagebox that say that the box is empty. I have also
an Abort button that destroys the window. When I stand in the combobox an press the button "Abort"
the "ON_SAM_Validate" goes of and the messagebox appears. Could i check in the ON_SAM_Validate if the Abort button
was pressed an the stop the messagebox to appear. Or stop it on any other way?

you will get a return-value from message-boxes which button you have clicked (f.e. a message box with "yes" and "no" button returns IDYES or IDNO when you click the buttons.
this return value you can use to handle the validate message!
