On Windows server 2012 R2, we have our software based (on vfp9). When users click the .exe of the software or switches the branch they get following error which is similar to the above mentioned error.

"OLE error code 0x800700CA: unknown com status code"
This error never came on windows server 2008 R2 but as soon as we switched to server 2012 this error started troubling.

We firstly disabled Data Execution Prevention which by default is enabled in windows server 2012 R2. This didn't solve our issue.

Then we run OLEDB as mentioned above and instantly the problem seemed to be solved but after 2 days the problem again appeared and continues to exist.

Please suggest as to what to do next.

One more thing is that whenever we restart the server the problem does not appear for some time but after maximum half day work it starts troubling.

Don't yopu have an error handler telling you line and program this error occurs? Because this error doesn't point out at all, what OLE/COM component is involved.

You say you think this is caused by using OLEDB, which OLEDB Provider do you use? MSSQL? VFP?
