Probably a very simple question for you guys but our IT guy has just reconfigured our pc's to run on a DHCP network and now I can't see any of my reports. I get the above error message and although I assume it is beacuse the IP on my address on my PC has probably changed I don't know how to correct the problem so I can see the reports again. Can anyone tell me how I sort this out?
Thanx
Gareth

Are you able to ping the Symposium server? Also give ipconfig and check ip and gateway and try to ping the gateway. Before using DHCP, was the IP adressing scheme used[static] in the same range as DHCP? Also, what all patches are installed on your fat client[SMI Workbench]?

Also, have you upgraded your RAM recently?

Thanks,

Amit

Hi
I had the same problem with SECC4.2 for some time... It was working perfectly before ... probably some updates changed the performance of the PC.
thanks to tek-tips, I guess, atleast for 1 month nobody bathered me bacuse of that anymore , I found the solution for it, I tried almost everything before with the PC (WIN2000) but always get memory problems, until I did the update to the SECC client (only) to the last version.
I did a search here about "report problem". look for it.
