I'm running Notes 5.0 with Domino as a server. I have one user whose account keeps dying on me. I deleted him from the server, re-registered him, detached his ID and copied it to his user folder, and he could access his own address database, at first. Then inexplicably he suddenly can't access it with the 'you are not authorized, etc. message. I've checked what I know to check in his account on the server, and can find nothing obviously amiss.
Anyone have any suggestions? (I'm pretty green on both on both Notes and Domino, so any help needs to be dumbed-down for me)Thanks!

This is just a hunch, but it might not be his mail DB that's the problem. Make sure he has author access to your Domino Directory.

I have to other things to try:

First, make sure he's not part of any termination groups.
Second, the next time you re-register him, don't register him using the exact same name.

I've done more R5 deployments than I care to think about.

He wasn't a member of any termination group, and he had all the normal access control like all my other users.
I wound up recreating him by his last name only - Morgan - and it works perfectly. I did absolutely nothing different when registering him as I did in previous attempts.
I know Notes has its quirks, but what would cause this to happen? Thanks for your input!
