Hello, I am using CR9 and have a transaction by sercurity report that has three parameters: security ID, Starting Trade Date, Ending Trade Date. The report works perfectly except for one thing, it drops securities that I entered in my parameter that have not been traded in the specified date range. I adjusted my joins to inner, left, right. etc and still cannot get the "Not Active" securities to show on the report. Any suggestions ? Thanks - OT2

Hi,
The devil is in the details, which are lacking here:

How many tables involved?
What are the linked fields?
What is the 'Driving' table ( the leftmost one)..

If you are specifying a date range, why do you want those not traded in that range?( just curious)

Hi Turkbear, here are the tables

MHFSHDR inner joined to MHFSTA on Portfolio
MHFSTA inner joins to MHFSTTRN on Portfolio and TradeNum
MHFSTA inner joined to MHFSISSUE on Cusip
MHFSTA inner joined to MHFSBRO on Broker

so that's five tables in total with the leftmost one being MHFSHDR.

There are compliance reasons for wanting to see not active securities.

Thanks -

Hi,
Which table(s) may not have matching data?

In general, use a Left-Outer join from left to right..
