Anyone have any ideas on this? I have a 400 at 4.0 with all 7316E's. Several calls throughout the day ring in and when answered by attendant, no one is there and the display reads "Normal Clearing". Seems to coincide with "Mandantory information element missing " in D-Channel signalling Release cause. Public trunking is:

Nuvox 1.5 Meg Internet---->Edgewater Networks VoIP Router w/PRI ----> BCM PRI Bus 7

Thanks

any alarms on the dtm? Do u see anything the alarm logs pointing to the PRI?

This is normal for a disconnected call. It is called release reasons. It must be turned on. You will see it if the caller hangs up.

Release Reasons has to be turned ON to see these messages on the display. If you don't want them, then turn it off. It's a system wide setting.

Normal Clearing can be extremely misleading.
Especially if you're seeing "Mandantory information element missing " in the D-Channel signalling.
Basically, the BCM is looking for an IE the carrier is not sending, so it rejects the call.
First step is to make sure you have all the current patches installed. If so, and the problem continues, you may need to break down the D channel messaging to determine what is missing.
It could be a setting in the router or a setting in the serving switch that corrects the problem.
