i got this dell pe4300 from an garage/auction for $50 and everytime i tried to install OS, i got "No hard drive" error. these errors are being displayed for OSs: RH Ent. Linux, MS Win2k3 server, with a RAID II Adapter BIOS V1.47, Firmware 3.19/5.13/2.25

i believe someone sent almost same problem (thread) a year ago but wondering if there's any update or experience on this problem.

Here's an error while trying to install RH Ent. Linux V4:

No Drives Found
An error has occurred - no valid devices were found on which to create new file systems. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem.

the machine is working 100% as it housed the novell OS and running fine.

Sounds like the RAID config was erased before the sale (I do this myself). On bootup you should see a prompt to enter the RAID setup, do so and configure the array as desired.
