I have a new form that I created in Access 2007. There are two subforms: one listing dates and the other listing notes from the date that is selected. (The date's key id is pulled to the main form as the Master link to the notes subform.)

If I click on a date that does not yet have any notes entered I receive a "No Current Record" error. If I click OK and attempt to add notes to the subform I receive the same error only it keeps popping up when I click OK and I have to kill Access with the Task Manager to get out of the error loop.

If I add a first note for a date to the underlying Notes table and then launch the form it will work and I can add additional notes.

What is triggering the "No Current Record" error?

Are you sure the linked subform allow additions ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Yes, the subform was set to allow new records. I recreated the Notes subform and swapped it into the main form and it's working correctly. I must have accidentally changed one of the subforms settings - but which one?
