Hi Guys;

bcm 450 6.0 with latest patches.
have 2 ip telephony client licenses installed (one is being used now)
trying to get a an ip phone registered and get the above notice on the phone.

Have tried input a dn manually and every one I try says it's not available.

I can see there are 2 telephony client licenses however, I cannot see any information in "ip terminal details" AND when I look at the list of all dn's there are none that show up with an ip phone extension # (1140e/1210). Usually there are several that appear in the "all dns" list, I seem to have none?

Can anyone tell me how I can get this ip phone registered?

thanks.

Thanks cook1082, that's what I thought as well, but it constantly says invalid dn. Even when I try using a dn that is in the inactive DN list.

You need to configure DNS in telephony resources first.

Select ip terminals and press configure
Assign the number off extns you require and number range.

Dang!
That was it! Thanks snowman.

I skipped right over the "configure" as reception needed a license for her softconsole program, therefor assuming ip sets would already be configured. Duh. Looked at that same page at least half a dozen times but not right in the middle.
Couldn't see the trees 'cause the forest was getting in the way.

Thanks again.
