Hello. I've just inherited a small network from someone who left my company rather quickly, so there's not much documentation. I'm trying to find where everything is.
The admin. had win2000 on his PC and is a member of the domain "workgroup". This network has one NT4 server and 50+ computers. Most people are part of the "NJ" domain.
So when I go into "Network Places" I see his computer name and the name of another computer. Here's the puzzle:
I can't seem to find out where that other computer is. Is there some way to do it quickly rather than having to check every name on everyone's PC? Also, how would I know it's not a printer or some other machine. When I try to double click it, it won't let me in, it asks me for a username/password that I have no clue what it is.
Anybody offer any advice?
