Is there a way to set up a custom folder to appear in the left side of the "Save As" dialog box? For example, when I choose "Save As", this folder would be listed with the other large icons on the left side of the dialog box.

Hi Kwalters,

As an alternative, you can place any folder into "Favorites" and then click that icon in the Save As dialog box to access it.

Go to the folder in My Documents or My Computer or wherever it is and click to open it. On the Favorites menu, select "Add to Favorites". You can add more than one folder in this way so many would be available at a single click.

Thanks for the response.

I set up the folder in "Favorites" but I still don't see how to make it appear on the left side of the "Save As" dialog box where the "Network Places", "My Documents", etc. large icons appear. In Microsoft apps, its referred to as "My Places" and you can make changes to this area by clicking on the "Tools" menu in the "Save As" dialog box.
