"My Computer" icon gone from desktop.

My friend says he somehow has lost the "my computer" from his desktop. He has no clue how; help please!

Go to the Display Properties, click on the Desktop tab and then choose "Customize Desktop" you can then choose which icons you want to be shown.

Thanks Naiku, you were right on. I'm used to Windows 2000, which doesn't have this feature.

You could also go to start, my computer right click and then click show on desktop.
