I have a receptionist who sometimes needs to leave her desk to do some admin stuff around the office. She has a plantronics headset, which allows her to stand up, go away from the phone and still talk, plus pick up and hang up the phone.
But she can't put people on hold, she can't transfer, conference or take a call that terminates on the 2nd line.
Is there some terminal out there that would allow her to do all this?
I tried a 3rd party SIP phone over wifi (spectralink), it's too much pain to even set up, much less to operate.
What we have to remember is that 90% of the time, she is sitting by her desk and the desk phone works just fine (especially with the headset). So she definitely wants to keep that.

Is there some cordless or DECT terminal out there by NEC that would give her multiple lines (and line appearance of some phones) - maybe upwards of 4 lines, and give the option of hold, transfer, conference?

We have a lot of extra IP endpoint licenses in the system if that helps, and I have also softphone and 3rd party SIP phone licenses to work with.

Any ideas are appreciated.

You can look into the DT8R cordless. It can share the Dterm extension. There is a base with an either or switch.
Or, ML-440 IP wireless.
