Hi everyone, can someone help me with this show stopper?

1. I started WinRunner 7.5 with add-in WebTest.
2. Then launched MS Internet Explorer 6.0.28.
3. started GUI Map Editor, clicked on Learn, then pointed cursor on browser.
4. WinRunner add object with description:

MSW_class: mic_unknown_class

So this object couldn't be recognized by WinRunner.

-> Same for Navigator

-> General Options - > Selective Recording -> both Explorer and Navigator are checked

-> re-naming registry key "Browser Helper Objects" to "Browser Helper Objects.old" did not help (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\)

I am blocked and don't have a clue what might be causing this problem.

Many thanks,
Filip

I've found in the past if you want WR (certainly in v6) to recognise the browser window, you have to code the TSL directly to launch it.

Once it's been launched by WR, it can be seen.

This might still be a problem in 7.5

Cheers,
Dave

Probably the only Test Analyst Manager on Tek-Tips...therefore whatever it was that went wrong, I'm to blame...
