"Method '~' of Object '~' Failed" ComCheck /D not working

I have a program that requires MDAC to be installed. I am getting an error: "Method '~' of Object '~' Failed". This indicates to me that there is a conflict with MDAC components. I downloaded MDAC component checker utility from Microsofts site and ran it on the troubled PC. It does show errors. When I tried to run comcheck /D (with the switch), it does not give me the option to remove the MDAC components.
I apparently need to remove the components and start over to resolve this problem, but the utility is not working.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!
