A person in the building got a voicemail and the telephone says Message for you on their telephone. The message notification in turned on. But the message was erased and there is no stored or new messages on their voicebox and it still says message for you. I unplugged the phone too, which didn't help. Does anyone know what is going on? And how to get the message off....

Before there was voicemail, you could send a message to another phone letting the person know to call you. You press Feature 1. To view who sent the message press either Feature 65 (one line display like on a M7100 or M7208) or Feature 1 (two line display phone). To delete the message press Hold (one line display) or ERASE.

This may not be what happened, but when I was a vendor this did happen on customer phones quite often.

Thank you commgal, it worked great!!!

the phone that I see getting this the most is ext 23 or ext 234 since for some reason people like to hit feature 1 2 3 4 5 6etc.
