"Local printer spool problems"

My printer spooler is printing the same document over and over.

I have Windows XP professional installed, and the OS does not permit me erasing the printing job from the job queu.

Do I need a patch to fix this problem?

Just a hunch:

net stop spooler

perhaps that would at least release the files (default under %SystemRoot%\System32\Spool, if I recall correctly), so that you can delete manually? ---
