I receive the above message when I go to my STS website that has been working for months. All of the content is still there.

There are a couple of oddities here:

1. When I look at the SharePoint Server Admin page it shows the website version as 5.0.2.3501, but when I look on the Team site admin page it shows the version as 5.0.2.2614.

2. When opening the default.htm page in FP2002, it says: To edit this FrontPage component your website must be located on a Web server running SharePoint Team services from Microsoft.

Thanks for any suggestions.

This has happened to my STS sites as well after editing web components in Front Page. I received the following advice from the TSC Developers at
"This issue, more often than not, is due to improperly editing the default SharePoint Team Services pages.

For example: there are tags in the default home page of a SPTS web that, if removed, will disable the "Home Page Layout" functionality of a SharePoint Team Services web. Here are a couple of the above mentioned tags:

<!--Announcements-->
<!--webbot bot="FormInsertHere" S-Purpose="homepageviews"-->

The later of the two is a very important tag. To the trained HTML developer, these are simply comment tags. That is, tags that are not rendered by the web browser. This is true to an extent. It is true that the tags are not rendered by the browser, however they are used by the SPTS parsing engine (OWSSVR.DLL) which parses the page before it is returned to the clients browser.

So, for all of you enthusiastic SPTS developers, be careful before removing content from the default SPTS pages!
