We have hired a new employee. I am having trouble setting up her voice mail. Used the F981 feature, it requests the mailbox (x299) and password (0000 - new user). When I enter the password 2990000, the system respond by saying the password is not registered. Next I try to reset the password using F983 but it responds with an "invalid mailbox" to "add", "delete" and "chng". I can call her extension and DN and the correct information appears in the display. The phone did belong to a previous person and the phone may have been moved.

Any suggestions?

Did you have a mailbox built on this ext. previously? It sounds like there isn't a mailbox that is built there.

Build a new MB with the # you want. It sounds like the old one is gone.

Thank you for suggestions. The old mailbox was indeed gone. I went back and count the number of mailboxs in use and it appears we have reached our limit of 48 mailboxs.

Again thank you for support

If you are desparate for adding one more mailbox:
Have the reception share the general delivery mailbox as the personal one too and change the name GENERAL MAILBOX to the receptionist's name and give her personal mailbox away to the new person or
you can give yours away and you use mailbox 102 and change the name SYSTEM MANAGER to your own name.
