Since the original post was closed, here's how I solved the "Insufficient Disk Space" message when I tried to Get Text in Quark 5.1. I remembered (a) Quark is picky about configuration changes, and (b) I'd recently downloaded a pile of XP Home updates from Microsoft. So I bit the bullet and, after backing up my data in the Quark directory:
1. Totally uninstalled Quark (simply running install again didn't solve the problem).
2. In Windows Explorer, deleted the directory Quark had been in (uninstalling doesn't do this; it leaves some empty subdirectories, and so the directory itself won't delete). This is why I backed up the documents, pictures and page layouts in this directory.
3. Ran Disk Cleanup.
4. Defragged the drive.
5. Reinstall Quark (I used the same directory name, but obviously you don't have to).

Result: problem gone. All functions operational. Quark was now set for this configuration.
