Hi, Am new to Brightstor so be gentle.
I have a problem with the security on a current backup job.
When I drill down the source list of server hosts Brightstor asks me to enter security logon account details to gain access, this is the confusing part.
The security dialog that shows an example logon is Domain\UserAccount and Password but if you enter the details as requested when you click OK the logon fails.
If you however amend the details to just use the User Account and Password, when you click OK this time it will be accepted and you can browse the host… can anyone explain why this is happening.
Im using BrightStor 11.5SP1 on Windows2000 Advances servers patched to SP4, upgrading to 11.5SP2 is not an option at this time.

If the host server is in the same domain as the server being backed up it will assume and automatically prefix the domainname (IIRC).
