Hello Pls kindly assist me.

I have an application developed on Accedss project and sql server 2000. At the moment, Its install and connected to the sql server pc but my client is likely going to start to start using it as a client/server system.

I have tried several times to connect to the sql server from another system but have been receiving error saying access denied or server does not exist.

Meanwhile i use a router and no server system say except that i installed the sql server in a system and called it sql server.

Pls how do i resolve this problem so all the access project in the client system can connect to the server.

Thanks for your help
Mike

Have the SQL Server Administrator set up the appropriate permissions for the users.

The easiest way to go is to create an ODBC SQL Server connection on your PC, then refer to it from within the connection properties of your ADP. Else, just type in the IP address of the remote SQL server...and probably need to specify the port (default is 1433), like:
123.456.789;1433

Then specify the username and password of an account with permission to access the SQL server database....and specify the initial database within the SQL server to connect to...
