This only occurs whilst doing a full Backup (Saturdays)
My Platform is Windows NT 4.ArcserveIT Advanced Edition Version 6.61 (Build 834SP2). This as only recently happened and my Full Backups used to be fine.
Thanks for your responses.
Cheers

Make sure that the tapes that you are using have software compression enabled.

Hey Warren Beaty! The Software Compression is enabled

Tape full and a second is required. Full backup you say. What drive and how much data?

Evil Optic, I am using a Quantum DLT 20-40 and data size is around 37

so you have a tape drive [with compression enabled] that by default can backup 20gig, you backup is 37gig, this would appear to be normal. ARCserve will need a second tape for this job. If any of the 17gig [stuff over 20gig] is compressed already, i.e. zip files, databases etc.. then hardware compression is not not going to compress them anymore. Using software compression while you have a tape drive with hardware compression is daft, use one or the other [i would choose hardware] not both.
