"Ghost" mail?

Every once in a while, Eudora will give me that "you've got mail" sound and I go into the program only to see no new mail. I've even seen it get mail from the server but no headers appear.

I do have many filters installed but all of them are set to send filtered mail to the Trash and not just delete them.

Anyone else had ghost mails come in but never appear in the InBox or Trash?

That often happens me. I do Ctrl-M to check the mail server, it starts downloading mail with a progress bar indicating that there is plenty of mail coming in, but nothing appears. Only when I shut down the program and start it up again does it show the headers.

A bit annoying.
