"Find Target" no longer works

Hiya,
Within the last month or so I have lost the ability to find a file when I right-click on a file shortcut icon from the desktop. This is under Properties > Shortcut > Find Target, when clicked nothing happens!!

I don't know what programs I have installed since then (if any) which may have messed this facility up.

Can anyone help with a solution please?

You could try running the System File Checker by Clicking On Start, clicking Run and the typing "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes). You will need to have your XP CD to do this. This procedure with check and if required replace essential system files.
