Hi,

A little background first. Our CE10 server (VMware) was up and running, but last week something crashed on the box and they had to reboot every VMWare server on the box and after that, we could not longer access CE10 from CR10 to save or open reports.

It was giving the cluster communication error. After looking around, I sent these instructions to the administrator :
In the Hosts file add :
10.**.*.*** MNAP141
10.**.*.*** mnap141 MNAP141
10.**.*.*** mnap141.hrdc-drhc.net MNAP141.HRDC-DRHC.NET

Go under :
Start- Program- Crystal Enterprise 10- Crystal Configuration Manager
-Stop all the services
-Under the Crystal Management Server service, add the following to the command line : -port 10.**.*.***:6400
-Under all other services, in the command line replace -ns MNAP141 with -ns 10.**.*.***
-Restart all services.

He did this for me and now I can connect to CE10 again, but I still cannot open or save files, I now get the message 'File input repository server is down'.

And here I am... it worked until it crashed, I had them bind the application to the IP I wanted but now we cannot save anything to the server, any ideas??

Thanks in advance.
Phil

Hi,
Where are your FRS directories/files located?
Did any permissions to access that location change?
Are the services still running under the correct acount?

Where are your FRS directories/files located?
- Is this what you mean?
D:\Program Files\Enterprise 10\FileStore\Input\

Did any permissions to access that location change?
No permissions have changed, but I asked the administrator to confirm, I have 0 access to this box...

Are the services still running under the correct acount?
How can I check that? The Administrator account has full control, no one else has access to it.

The only discrepancy I see is that under servers when I look at the machine name, the CMS is running under machine name '10' while everything else shows 'MNAP141'?
