I publish a text-based newsletter with a link to a PDF version of the newsletter. I have had one subscriber complain to me that when they click on the link in the text-based newsletter they receive a "This file does not exist" error. The subscriber uses MS Outlook for their email client and the link does appear as a hyperlink in their email. Copying and pasting the URL into the address bar of Internet Explorer generates the same error. I have confirmed that the subscriber does have Adobe Acrobat installed (not sure which version) and is using Windows 2000.

Anyone have any ideas why this particular person cannot open the PDF? No one else is having this problem and I have not been able to duplicate the problem.

We have had users receive an error message that states, "There was an error opening this document. The file does not exist."

When they empty their Temporary Internet files folder found under Tools in Internet Explorer, it seems to fix the issue and they are able to open our forms.

I had the "There was an error opening this document. The file does not exist." error.

Uninstalled Acro Reader 7 and reinstalled and it started working, but for how long who knows?

Ah...good 'ol job security...
