"Extension Unavailable" when using extn to record VMPro wavs

Good Day,

When attempting to utilize an extension in the phone room to record VMPro wavs, I get a pop up declaring "extension unavailable"

So far I've not figured what the problem is, as I get the same message if selecting a different extn for the purpose.

The extn can take and make interoffice calls.

can anyone explain what I'm missing?
 
This problem I encountered a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be a glitch in the IPO system. If you reboot IPO you will probably find that it will then work...
 
Have you shut down & restarted the VM service without restarting the VM pro client? this can cause all sorts of wired things to happen.

Personaly I like to still add a recordings menu to all VM pro systems so that the customet can change greetings easily without having to go near VM Pro.
 
Restarting the voicemail server solved the problem. I've not setup a recording menu before - is there an Avaya job aid for that?
