"Error reading from file" error 1

Does anyone know how to delete a file from Visual Source Safe with the "Error reading from file" error? Someone tried to add files, and cut the process off mid way through. Now, whenever anyone tries to even click on the folder, it gives them an alert box, with the "Error reading from file" error. I have tried archiving, deleting, and permenently destroying the files, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

There is a separate utility application (ANALYZE.EXE) which can be executed so that it will 'Analyze & Fix VSS DB' - and a menu item should be added to your start menu for this option. Try that! (I've never used it, so good luck).

It requires the following parameters:
-f -c -d -v1 "path to the VSS data subdirectory"
