"Early" peek into ISO COBOL and XML

Given some other threads and their comments on "native" COBOL support for XML, I thought some readers of this forum might be interested in a (recently) posted EARLY (still in the development stage) "peek" into the approach that the ANSI/ISO COBOL groups are taking toward a "Technical Report" to add this feature.

IBM has NOT implemented XML support the way that ISO COBOL is &quot;heading&quot;. Furthermore, they have a &quot;restricted&quot; (by their own documentation) implementation that they have announced that they plan on expanding.
