Hi

I have plugged in an external CD Burner and the temporary E:drive appears fine on the computer but when I put in a blank CD (CD-R) I get an error saying: "E: is not accessible. Incorrect function." I can read CD's fine that have something already on them using the CD burner when I click on the E: drive. But when I attempt to read or copy new files to a blank CD the error occurs. I have checked the USB device (the CD Burner connects via a USB) and all is working ok (as proved because I can read CD's that already have something on them). The driver has been updated. Please can anyone help me resolve this so I can copy a file to the CD?

Thank you for any help.

Les

You didnt mention which os you are using, but here goes.
Have you installed software for your writer? Usually that means some version of nero or roxio, but there are others.
