"DSP keepalive timeout" on 7960

Just upgraded CM from 3.2 to 4.02 to 4.12. All phones seemed to update OK. This one phone developed this issue after the upgrade.

Phone will not get dial tone, but can sometimes make a call connection.

Tried resetting config, deleting phone and line config and starting from scratch. No luck.

Out of warantee and I hate to toss a 7960.

Any idea?

When you say "resetting config," do you mean you tried resetting the phone back to factory default...?

We saw a few 7940/7960's with this a while ago. The result was they were faulty (hardware) and were replaced by Cisco. The fault was there before and after firmware updates so it was pretty obvious that it wasn't a firmware thing. We had probably 10 out of 2000+ phones so it wasn't a big deal for us. If yours is out of warranty then there isn't much you can do with it......... It might be worth asking what the repair price is?
