I've got a Proliant 3000 with five Compaq hard drives (one 9GB, four 18GB 10000RPM). While the drives appear to work OK, the "drive present" light on the drive carriers does not illuminate. (The drive ACTIVITY lights, center of the three lights, flicker on access as usual).

I'm running NT Server 4.0 SP6A. Am I missing a Compaq driver or component? Something in system setup?

Any assistance appreciated!

You must not be using Compaq array controller? If not, you need to install the latest CSP. It's called the Proliant Storage System Support. INstall the whole CSP and you'll be fine. You will need to configure the 5.3 web agents with an admin password however (new requirement with 5.3).
