I need to get to an MS-DOS Prompt outside of Windows so I can disable Intel Boot Agent - the program that does this cannot run in a command window. A floppy formatted within Windows with MS-DOS System Files does the job well on my desktop (I get a prompt), but the laptop I'm trying to disable IBA on does not have a floppy drive.
So, I need some other way to boot to a prompt. I tried using the Windows XP Recovery tools on the Windows CD but I can't access the IBA program from that prompt, even though I put a copy of it in my Windows folder. I also tried creating a CD with the same files on it, but I'm having problems figuring out what needs to be done to make the CD bootable - when I use this CD, I never get a prompt, only a flashing cursor.
