Hi,
I have placed a "Dmz switch" between my firewall and my isp router. I have done this because the phone system I use has a server with 2 nic's (1 LAN, 1 WAN). anyways I have assigned the wan adapter on the server an IP address from the block that the ISP gave us. The rest of the IP's are in use on the firewall. The server is a linux server and recently I noticed the wan adapter quit working properly. I did an ifconfig and noticed the adapter was not up. when I try and ifup eth1. I get a message from the server mentioning that it detects that address is already in use on the network. I feel like the sonicwall may somehow be watching for a rogue device...has anyone seen any symptoms like this in the past?

Are you using the same wan ip on the server and wan interface? If you unplug the sonic wall does the servers adapter come up?
