Hi..
My computer has just been fixed and when i installed win98, i rebooted to refresh everything. When i did, it says,
"Disk boot failure, insert system disk."
What do I do?

First of all make sure your Motherboard BIOS is actually set to allow booting from the Hard Disk.

If it is then the partition you have installed windows into is not active. Make yourself a Boot Disk on a floppy on another Windows 98 PC and make sure there is a copy of FDISK.EXE on it. It can be found in the .\Windows\Command folder.

Run FDISK and set the Partition with Windows on it to be 'active'.

Reboot and that should cure it. If it doesn't boot from the Boot Floppy and try typing fdisk /mbr - This resets the Master Boot Record.

There are other things to try if these don't work, but see how you go with the above.

Good luck
