"Date Modified" Updates Despite No Real Changes? [Access dbase]

Every time I open an Access database, the "Date Modified" changes even though I am only accessing the dbase (i.e., opening and viewing a form or query). Is there any way to change it so that it only reflects a true change in data or design? Could the NT server that I am connected to be making changes to the dbase behind the scenes?

Under the database properties, it shows dates and times for properties "Created" and "Modified" but "Accessed" only shows a date - no time. Is this related in any way?

Ahhhh ... but you have changed something. In addition to the data in your tables, Access also keeps track of where you were (Tables, Queries, Forms, etc.), which Table, Query, Form. was selected ... and a whole bunch of other cosmetic stuff. It also takes note of who the last person was to open the database (i.e. YOU).

Sorry. I don't know of any way to stop it from changing the timestamp in the mdb file.
