Hi all.

What could be the reason I receive a message "Sniffer is waiting for a critical resource to be available" when I try to connect to a DSS ?
I set up a new agent, get card list, but when trying to connect, get the same message.
ctrl+alt+del, task manager includes a process "Dspro.exe" for every session I try to establish, maybe 5 minutes later session is established, but barely.

Any comment could help.

Hi Alex,
I've seen this a few times before. I'm pretty sure that the problem is due to the System resources of the console machine, specifically RAM usage. This is not a Sniffer App fault.
When you do have a session established, I recommend going to Tools, Expert Objects. In this tab you can define, how much memory the sniffer application uses for this agent. If you reduce the no of objects the memory required, asscoiated with each object changes. I recommend if using ethernet, reducing all the WAN and ATM objects to 1, this will reduce the amount of RAM that the sniffer app (on the console) will require.
