"create web album" - extra .jpg extension added

When using the "create web photo album" command each file has an extra extension added. For example: in the 'Images" and "Thumbnails" folders, each file ends up with the extension _jpg.jpg The "pages" files have _jpg.htm

If I remove the original .jpg in photoshop, illustrator, or fireworks, when I create the web album I get an error that there are no images in the source folder.

How do I get the files to have only .jpg or .htm without having to go back and edit each one after the album has been created?
