Getting this message in 5.5 on NT 4.0 Workstation.

When I give the user "Domain Admin" access for her LAN account on the server, the error does not appear.

This error appears (by the way) when the user tries to print in Photoshop...

is it a shared printer that user doesn't have access to?

can the user print other documents to that printer like word, text or excsl etc.?

I have the same problem on photoshop 5.5 winXP sp1. i use a network printer and i can print to it from other apps, but not from photoshop. HELP!

I think this is a common problem because I am in the same boat.

I have Photoshop 5.0 on a Windows XP machine. I use a network printer and tried attaching a printer directly to the computer but that didnt work.

Can anyone help us out with our problems? Please.

Hmmm... I too use a network printer and PShop 7.0 and have no problem.

Have you tried "printing with preview" first?

What exactly is your problem? e.g. does the printer print at all...is your print getting stuck in a print queue...is your print outside the printer boundaries etc.

When I go to "File" and then "Print", I have a message box that pops up saying "Could not complete the print command because of a disk error".

In other words, I cant print at all from Photoshop. I can print from Word and Paint with no problem.

I have read from some websites that say it is a registery problem and can be fixed by editing the registery. I have not tried it because I heard that messing with the registery can be dangerous.

Just guessing now...

Have you tried looking at the Adobe site for answers?

Have you done "Windows Updates"

Can you capture the exact error message and post it?

Has this ever worked or never worked?

I figured it out, it is a problem with the premission in version 5.

I am guessing that when version 5 was put out on the market, premissions were the least of their worries.
