"Copy of" NDRs not working

Need to get a copy of NDRs. I have opened the exchange system manager & entered a valid email address in the "send copy of non-delivery report" field in the SMTP virtual server, but not working. Have also tried a restart the SMTP service & the exchange routing service & still not working. What am I missing???
 
Did you check they are enabled at all?

Yep, if you send an email to an non-existent recipient on the domain you'll get an NDR

When you say 'a valid email address', do you mean an SMTP address or a name from the AD? If it is not a local name (your own accountname to test), try that, that should work

Should be a valid SMTP email address according to "Help", but have tried every combination of name possible just in case help was wrong. No go!
