"Compaq USB Pen Drive" works slow!!

I have a "Compaq USB Pen Drive" of 256mb capacity. I downloaded general USB support driver from compaq.com for winXP. When I wan't to put a document of 30 mb on it, it take's half an hour before it's on it. Can somebody help me???

If you installed SP1 then you should not use a General Compaq USB driver.

SP1 would provide native USB 2.0 support.

You would benefit looking to the terrific site for USB devices:

http://www.usbman.com

I know from slight experience with this little memory devices (which are fantastic) that they do not always work well on a USB hub.
