I am a complete novice of InterDev 6; so apologies in advance for my ignorance and thanks in advance to anyone who helps with basic steps to solve this problem:
I have installed Visual Studio. As far as I know, I have correctly installed FrontPage Server Extensions and IIS. (When I execute InterDev and start a new project, the IP address of my machine is displayed and selectable and I do not get any errors when I connect).
However, once I complete selecting the layout and theme for my project, I get the following error:
"Cannot create a disk-based application in C:\Inetpub\ You cannot configure C:\Inetpub\ as a FrontPage web because the directory C:\Inetpub\ is already configured as a FrontPage web. You can open that web instead".
I can click on OK, and am left with nothing in InterDev.
I have been told that it may be that I have not done a complete install... I did not install BackOffice additional components.
I have had no end of problems with this application on three machines thus far, trying to solve this problem so that I can start creating projects. Many thanks for anyone who helps.
