"CAN NOT OPEN AUDIO STREAM" ???

This message comes up on the 2004 IP set working off a BCM1000 3.7 when trying to call into a CICS system with a Nortel Gateway connected. The ip phone works fine at the off prem site calling into and out of the host BCM, however I cannot get audio through to the host BCM from the off prem through the gateway, only extension signalling works? Any ideas, directions, comments?
