"Can Grow" option doesn't work when exporting to RTF

I have searched other threads and have not been able to find anything to resolve this issue.

I am using CR version 8.5. My report contains an explanation field placed in a group footer. The field is set to "can grow" as the text entered in this field will vary in length. I need to export the report to .rtf format.

The problem is the text box is cut off in the exported document and the full text is not visible for records containing longer explanations. You can click on the text box in the .rtf document and make it longer, and the text becomes visible. However, to do this for every instance in the report is not feasible.

I have tried puting the field in a text box and have also put the text box/field in its own section of the group footer. I have also tried making the text box bigger in the Crystal Reports design. Nothing works. The text is still being cut off in the exported .rtf document.

Any solutions or suggestions?
