Several weeks ago, I noticed that I have a "blank" entry in the Add/Remove program list. It appears to be a single entry. When I left click to select it, a tremendous area is highlighted. It is the 7th entry down the list (right after AOL instant Messanger).

I am running XP Home (SP2).

Any ideas what would cause this and how it it can be removed?

Autocad is a program known to cause this problem due to an incorrect registry setting.

Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and cycle through each registry key. If an entry has a DisplayIcon string with a "-1" value, set this to "0".

I recently had this problem after I uninstalled AutoCad R14 and installed AutoCad 2002. Greg's fix is right on.

I tried it and it was right on the money!!!

Thanks for the help.
