"Autonumber" in MySQL?

Hi, I used to use MS Access databases. And I know that you can have an "Autonumber" field with it. Now I'm trying to "port" my script to MySQL. I converted my Access database to MySQL with a program. But autonumber isn't working anymore. Is there any way to do autonumber with MySQL?

Yes, modify the column so that the property is AUTO_INCREMENT and it is a Primary key/unique index. Rob Marriott

but how do I do that? i'm sorry, I know next to nothing about MySQL commands
