on some computers i guess old browsers or something, the text on my front page has these at every break
Code:
" "'s
in the text..so on some pc's this is throwing my text off the right side of the screen..it has something to do with the text brks and the device fonts being selected..i use hard brks in the text file i am importing and it does not do this..

motherf^&^%&^ piece of %*%*....

sometimes i wish i would have took up sport fishing or something..my luck the boat would sink..

Do you mean that they actually see &*nbsp; (without the asterix) rather than a space?
Did that happened to be on a Mac?

yes to the first question..and no to the second..when i tested at my work it was an old pc..not sure which browser it runs..will have to check monday..three other people have had the same problem..

hey also will you check this and tell me why it's not going to scene2..

i'm going to break my portfolio up into pop ups because it is going to end up being a 300 to 400 k movie if i don't so..

in case you were wondering..

Can't find much on the subject...
But this, that ain't really helpful:

Maybe it's the browser! Did you output this one from MX? If so compatible to Flash 5 or 6?
Maybe do a quick test on the same sort of text, without using device fonts, to see if that has anything to do with it.

Checking your other stuff now!
BTW, didn't change those buttons scripts yet?
And no change on the intro either?

i think i found the solution to the text thing..well atleast i hope i have..i just took out the hard brks and scaled the window accordingly to fit the text back in without using any brks at all..won't be able to test it untill monday though when i get back to work..

on (press) {
if (_level0.current_sel == "comp") {
stop();
} else {
_root.gotoAndStop("company");
loadMovieNum("company.swf", 1);
_level0.current_sel = "comp";
}
}

for the buttons..why is this not working?.still loads the movie again..

Where'd you get this preloader code? And are you trying to use the scrollpane component, in that other stuff?

As for the buttons code, I'd have to see your whole navigation.
